Over 700 Differently-Abled Lives in Karnataka to Get a Fresh Start

Bangalore, April 24: Udaipur-based Narayan Seva Sansthan, known for its humanitarian service, will organize its free Narayan Limb and Caliper Fitment Camp and an International Awards Ceremony in Bangalore on Sunday, April 27, f

or the third consecutive year. The camp will be held at Maratha Hostel Ground, Bull Temple Road, Basavanagudi from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, where only pre-registered differently-abled individuals will receive free prosthetic limbs.

Vinod Jain, the Director of the organization, shared that Narayan Seva Sansthan has been working for the last 40 years to ensure differently-abled individuals benefit close to their homes. In this initiative, a free Narayan Limb Measurement Camp was organized on February 2 in Bangalore, where over 1,050 patients participated. Among them, 694 individuals had lost limbs due to road accidents or other mishaps. These individuals were selected for limb casting and measurements for the upcoming fitment camp.

This will be the third time that a large-scale fitment camp is being organized in Bangalore, where recipients will be fitted with Narayan Limbs made with advanced German technology, giving them a new lease on life. Many of these individuals had become dependent on their families, but with this support, they are being empowered to rejoin mainstream society — a moment of pride for both the nation and society.

During the press meet, the camp’s official poster was released by Director Bhagwan Prasad Gaur, In-Charge Khubilal Menaria, Lalit Lohar, Hari Prasad Ladda and Ganavi Raj.

Narayan Seva Sansthan conducts similar camps across various regions in India every week. Internationally, camps have also been organized in countries such as Kenya, Uganda, Meru, Tanzania, and Nepal. On average, around 1,800 prosthetic limbs are fitted every month.

For the grand inauguration of the camp, several dignitaries including the Chief Minister and have been invited. The organization will also provide free meals to all the participating differently-abled individuals. Post fitment, recipients will receive proper walking training under the guidance of a dedicated 60-member team from the Sansthan. More than 500 social workers, community leaders, and prominent citizens from Bangalore are expected to participate and witness the impact of the event.

Narayan Seva Sansthan appeals to all compassionate individuals to come forward and support this noble cause. The inauguration ceremony will begin at 11:00 AM. This event of service and recognition is expected to inspire many.

Founded in 1985 with the spirit of "Service to Humanity is Service to God," Narayan Seva Sansthan’s founder, Kailash Manav, was honored with the Padma Shri by the President of India for his selfless service. The Sansthan’s President, Prashant Agarwal, has empowered lakhs of differently-abled people by strengthening them mentally, physically, and economically through medical aid, education, skill development, and sports academies. In 2023, he was also honored with a National Award by the President. To date, the organization has fitted over 40,000 artificial limbs.

Now, the Sansthan is undertaking a large-scale mission in Karnataka to provide free prosthetic limbs to differently-abled individuals and help them restart their lives.
